An adviser to far-right Latin American leaders has been arrested on suspicion of plotting to kill his girlfriend. Prosecutors allege he discussed or prepared an attack, though details about the alleged plan remain under investigation. The arrest has drawn attention because of the suspect’s political connections and advisory role. Authorities said the case will be handled through the criminal justice system, while investigators examine possible motives, evidence, and involvement of others. The accused is expected to face preliminary proceedings soon.
