President Volodymyr Zelenskyy said Ukraine will not attack tankers carrying Russian diesel to the United States because they are connected to the US. Washington temporarily authorized transactions involving Russian-origin diesel, reportedly to ease supply pressures. Three tankers with 140,000 tonnes of fuel were heading to US ports; one is under EU sanctions. Zelenskyy said Ukrainian forces have no order to halt strikes on Russian targets, but have acted more cautiously recently. He warned the deal could encourage sanctions relief for Moscow.
