Zelensky Vows Proportional Retaliation for Russian Bridge Strikes

President Volodymyr Zelensky said Ukraine would continue delivering proportional retaliatory strikes after Russian attacks damaged Kyiv bridges, data centers, and mobile networks. Speaking alongside German Chancellor Friedrich Merz, Zelensky questioned Moscow’s strategy of targeting civilian infrastructure and warned that Russian telecommunications systems remain vulnerable. The comments followed consecutive strikes on Kyiv’s North Bridge, which injured two civilians and disrupted trolleybus services. Ukraine also reported long-range operations against Russian military assets, as officials accused Moscow of escalating attacks ahead of winter.
