Yorgen Fenech, the Maltese businessman accused of complicity in Daphne Caruana Galizia’s assassination, has denied ordering the killing. The investigative journalist was murdered by a car bomb in October 2017, prompting international condemnation and a major investigation. Several men have already been convicted for their roles, while Fenech’s case has focused on allegations that he commissioned the attack. Earlier court reports showed the trial continuing, with Fenech testifying in his own defence and insisting he had no involvement in the murder.
