Yemeni Forces Recapture Red Sea Port of Mokha from Houthis

Yemen’s Saudi-backed government forces say they have recaptured the Red Sea port city of Mokha from the Iran-backed Houthis. The operation was conducted by National Shield forces, the Giants Brigades, and Tihama Resistance units, with support from Saudi airstrikes. Officials also reported capturing Dhubab airport and securing the Bab el-Mandeb area. The offensive, known as Operation Yemen Dawn, aims to reverse Houthi gains along Yemen’s western coast. The Houthis have not acknowledged losing Mokha, while fighting continues in several areas.
