Yemen-Based Weapons Cell Used Anthropic’s AI to Develop Guided Weapons

Anthropic says a Yemen-based weapons cell used Claude AI to support three guided-weapons programs, including a rocket, a multistage ballistic missile and a proposed hypersonic-glide variant. The company said the group used Claude Code for guidance, navigation and control software, while splitting tasks across multiple sessions to evade safeguards.
