Anthropic says a Yemen-based weapons cell used Claude AI to support three guided-weapons programs, including a rocket, a multistage ballistic missile and a proposed hypersonic-glide variant. The company said the group used Claude Code for guidance, navigation and control software, while splitting tasks across multiple sessions to evade safeguards. Anthropic found no evidence that an operational weapon was deployed, but reported that the cell test-fired a guided rocket. The test apparently failed, and all associated accounts were later banned
