Women’s Sports Revenue Could Top $3 Billion in 2026, Deloitte Forecasts

A Deloitte Global report—not Goldman Sachs—forecasts that global women’s elite sports revenue will reach at least $3 billion in 2026, a 340% increase since 2022. The estimate covers commercial, broadcast, and matchday revenue. Commercial income is projected to contribute $1.4 billion, while matchday revenue could reach $911 million and broadcast revenue $765 million. Soccer and basketball are each expected to account for 35% of total revenue. Deloitte attributes the growth to investment, expanding leagues, and increasing fan engagement, while noting regional disparities remain.
