The vehicles collided along the left-center portion of the lorry, causing a severe impact that threw both riders from the motorcycle.

The rider, a 40-year-old man, suffered severe injuries and was pronounced dead at the scene. His wife, who had been riding as a passenger, sustained serious injuries and was rushed to Hospital Sik for emergency treatment.
