Volkswagen Group Delivers 6 Million Vehicles Through September as Electric Models Reach 40% of European Order Book

Volkswagen Group delivered 6.01 million vehicles worldwide in the first nine months of 2026, down 9 percent from the same period last year. Regional growth in South America and Europe was outweighed by declines in China and North America. The company delivered 678,700 battery-electric vehicles globally, 5 percent fewer year over year. In Europe, however, electric deliveries rose 20 percent in the third quarter, and battery-electric models accounted for around 40 percent of the order book. Nearly 150,000 orders have been placed for Volkswagen’s new electric urban-car family.
