Opposition leader and Nobel laureate María Corina Machado returned to Venezuela on Sunday, making her first appearance since December. She had spent months in hiding before leaving the country to receive her Nobel Peace Prize in Norway. Machado greeted supporters at a church in Lara state before traveling toward Caracas. Her return comes as President Delcy Rodríguez remains in office beyond the 90-day period authorized, with no election scheduled. Machado and allies continue demanding a date for a presidential vote again.
