A U.S. service member was killed on Saturday in northern Iraq during a controlled detonation of unexploded ordnance, U.S. Central Command said. CENTCOM said the ordnance came from a downed Iranian one-way attack drone. A second service member was wounded and received medical treatment for a minor injury. In related developments, CENTCOM said it had recovered unidentified remains after searching the location of a previous attack in Jordan, where another service member had been missing.
