The US issued new sanctions targeting global networks supporting Iran’s Mahan Air, an airline the US says transports Revolutionary Guards personnel and helps move weapons and drones. The Treasury designated six entities and individuals in China, India, Russia and Iran, including companies acting as sales agents for the airline. The Treasury said the action disrupts networks enabling Iran’s destabilizing activities and also sanctioned an IRGC-linked front company supporting Iran’s “kinetic targeting.”
