US Forces Strike Two Iranian Launchers on Larak Island, US Official Says

U.S. forces struck two Iranian launchers on Iran’s Larak Island, a U.S. official said, in the first known American attack on Iranian territory in more than a month. The launchers were allegedly being prepared by Islamic Revolutionary Guard Corps personnel to fire rockets carrying sea mines into the Strait of Hormuz. Iran’s Revolutionary Guard said the attack killed and wounded several soldiers and civilians but gave no precise casualty figures. The IRGC condemned the strike and vowed that those responsible would face retaliation and punishment.
