Ukrainian missile strikes hit targets in Russia’s Belgorod Oblast overnight, including Belgorod Airport and energy-related facilities, as local officials reported damage and power disruptions.

Belgorod Governor Alexander Shuvaev said Belgorod and the Belgorod district were hit by a “massive missile attack” carried out by Ukraine. He reported that strikes caused damage to infrastructure objects and that the impact included disruptions to electricity and water supply in some areas, along with reports of a blackout spreading to nearby settlements.

Local accounts also described fires following the strikes, including around the airport area, and damage linked to attacks on energy infrastructure used to support power and pipeline operations in the region.

Belgorod Oblast borders Ukraine and includes territory close to the Ukrainian cities of Kharkiv and Sumy. The reported strikes fit a broader pattern of targeting Russian logistics and energy infrastructure to disrupt operations tied to the war.
