Ukraine continued its attacks on Russian maritime logistics around the occupied Crimean area, with Ukraine’s drone forces commander saying 14 additional Russian vessels were hit overnight.
Ukrainian military officials said the targets included 10 tankers and four ferries. The vessels were described as part of Russia’s “shadow fleet,” which Ukraine and allied analysts say is used to move oil and fuel despite sanctions. Authorities also said the ships were struck in waters connected to the Sea of Azov and routes leading toward Crimea.
Ukrainian claims also indicated the attacks formed part of a wider “logistics lockdown” approach—aiming to isolate Crimea by targeting supply routes, fuel transport, and port activity—while Russia seeks to maintain deliveries into the peninsula. The latest reporting also noted that Ukraine’s maritime campaign has escalated rapidly over the past week, with totals of vessels hit claimed to be in the tens of units in just a few days.
