Ukraine Set to Receive 70 ATACMS and 12 M270 Launchers From Turkey in $280 Million Arms Deal

Ukraine is expected to acquire 70 M39 ATACMS missiles and 12 M270 multiple-launch rocket system (MLRS) launchers via Turkey in a package valued at about $280 million. U.S. State Department documents filed with the Congressional Record say the transfer includes additional ammunition such as thousands of cluster rockets and tens of thousands of cluster artillery shells. Because the equipment is U.S.-origin, the deal requires U.S. authorization and a congressional review period before deliveries can begin.
