Ukraine offers Russia truce in Black Sea as food supply fears mount

Ukraine has sent Russia an offer suggesting both sides pause attacks on civilian targets in the Black Sea, a source told Reuters. The proposal was transmitted by Kyiv through a third party, and Ukraine was waiting for a response. Both countries have accused each other of intensifying strikes on vessels used for agricultural exports. Ukraine has turned to alternative routes because many shipowners stopped calling at Odesa ports over fears of strikes on ships and port infrastructure.
