The UK says it will deploy RAF Typhoon jets to Saudi Arabia to help defend cities and infrastructure from Houthi missile and drone attacks. The aircraft will operate defensively and will not carry out strikes against the Houthis, Defence Secretary Wes Streeting said. The mission follows attacks on Riyadh and energy sites, including a strike at the capital’s airport. Britain will send military advisers and an A400M transport aircraft, while extending air-to-air refuelling support for defensive operations by 90 days.
