Chancellor John Healey announced a £15 million fund to tackle misogyny, with confirmation expected in the UK Budget on October 28. The government plans £5 million annually for three years, funding mentoring, workplace training and public-awareness campaigns to improve women’s and girls’ safety. Women and Equalities Minister Bridget Phillipson will oversee the fund, inviting organizations to bid for grants. Ministers hope businesses and philanthropists will contribute additional funding. The fund supports a national taskforce focused on preventing misogyny across schools, workplaces and public spaces nationwide.
