Turkey Seeks Interpol Red Notice for Netanyahu Over Gaza Flotilla Detention

Turkey has requested an Interpol Red Notice for Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu over the interception and detention of activists aboard the Global Sumud Flotilla. The Istanbul court case involves allegations including crimes against humanity, genocide, torture, unlawful deprivation of liberty, and assault. Turkish prosecutors say Israeli forces stopped the Gaza-bound aid convoy in international waters in 2025. A Red Notice is not an international arrest warrant and does not automatically require member countries to arrest the person named.
