Turkey’s parliament has passed a bill granting pardons to thousands of PKK militants, according to reports. The legislation represents a significant step in the government’s efforts to advance a peace process and reduce decades of conflict involving the Kurdistan Workers’ Party. Supporters say the measure could encourage disarmament, reintegration, and reconciliation, while critics may question its legal and security implications. Implementation is expected to depend on further procedures and oversight. The decision could reshape politics and relations with many Kurdish communities.
