Trump says the US may have gone “too far” in killing Iranian leaders

President Donald Trump said the United States may have gone “too far” in targeting Iran’s leadership, saying the campaign has complicated efforts to find officials for negotiations. “We might have gone too far with the leaders because we don’t know who the hell we’re dealing with anymore,” he told a rally in Youngstown, Ohio. Trump also said potential candidates were unwilling to become Iran’s president. He reiterated that Iran must not obtain nuclear weapons and claimed US operations had destroyed its navy and air force.
