Trump says EU to pay “very big price” for €890 million Google fine

US President Donald Trump said the European Union will face a “very big price” after Brussels fined Google €890 million under its Digital Markets Act. In a post on Truth Social, he vowed to immediately initiate a 301 investigation and predicted a “substantial tariff” on the bloc. The European Commission’s penalty, the first under the DMA, consisted of a €460 million fine for favoring Google services in search and a €430 million fine over restrictions on app developers steering users to cheaper options outside Google Play.
