The measures mainly target certain alcoholic drinks, dairy byproducts, and motorcycles. Canadian officials criticized the restrictions as unjustified and said Ottawa would focus on protecting workers, farmers, families, and businesses. Talks collapsed last month, and both sides face pressure to compromise as tariffs and countermeasures strain relations.
