TAGUM CITY, Philippines — A late-night gathering turned fatal over the weekend when an unidentified assailant gunned down a man directly outside a local KTV bar. The incident sent shockwaves through the neighborhood, disrupting what had been a busy evening for local establishments.

The shooting occurred on Sunday, May 24, 2026 just as patrons were exiting the entertainment venue. According to preliminary reports, the victim was standing near the establishment's entrance when a lone gunman approached him. Without warning, the suspect drew a firearm and fired multiple shots at close range, striking the victim in critical areas.

Witnesses inside and around the KTV bar reported hearing several loud gunshots, which instantly triggered panic. Customers and staff scrambled for cover as the victim collapsed to the pavement.

The perpetrator quickly made a getaway, reportedly fleeing into the dark on a waiting motorcycle driven by an accomplice.
