PERTH, AUSTRALIA — A suburban community is in shock today after a devastating multi-vehicle collision in Thornlie left a five-year-old girl fighting for survival in critical condition.

The horrific crash, which occurred during the busy afternoon school-run hour on Wednesday, June 3, 2026, has prompted a massive emergency response and an immediate investigation by the Western Australia Police Force's Major Crash Investigation Section.

The incident unfolded at approximately 3:45 PM at a busy intersection in the residential heart of Thornlie. According to eyewitness accounts and initial police reports, a sedan carrying a mother and her young daughter was attempting to navigate the intersection when it collided heavily with an oncoming sports utility vehicle (SUV).
