Traders Ship Nearly 30,000 Tons of Fuel from South Korea to Russia

Traders shipped nearly 30,000 metric tons of refined fuel from South Korea to Russia in late July, according to ship-tracking data and a trade source. At least two short-range tankers loaded diesel and possibly jet fuel at Ulsan before heading toward Russia’s Far East. The unusual route reflects rising demand after Ukrainian strikes damaged Russian energy infrastructure. Moscow also extended restrictions on diesel and gasoline exports, increasing pressure on domestic supplies. Officials in countries declined to comment on the shipments
