Three Children Killed, Two Injured After Speeding Truck Crashes into Jaipur Pavement

JAIPUR, RAJASTHAN — A devastating tragedy struck a family on Tuesday morning, July 7, 2026 after a speeding trailer truck veered out of control and plowed into pedestrians, killing three children on the spot and leaving their parents critically injured.

The horrifying accident occurred outside a hotel near the 200 Feet Bypass on Ajmer Road, turning a routine morning into a scene of absolute chaos.

According to senior police officials, the family of five—consisting of a husband, wife, and their three young children—was standing near a roadside bus stop waiting for public transport.

Between 8:45 AM and 9:00 AM, a massive trailer truck traveling from Jaipur toward Ajmer lost control at high speed. The heavy vehicle veered off the highway lane, plowing directly into the unsuspecting family before crashing heavily into the roadside iron railing.

The impact of the high-speed collision was catastrophic, killing the three children instantly before they could be reached by medical personnel.

Upon receiving frantic calls from witnesses, emergency services rushed to the highway location, where paramedics and police officers recovered the bodies of the three deceased children and immediately shifted their focus to saving the parents. The father sustained severe trauma and internal injuries from the crash. Meanwhile, the mother suffered extreme orthopedic trauma, with traffic police confirming that both of her legs were broken in the devastating impact.

The critically injured couple was stabilized at the scene before being rushed to the trauma centre at the Sawai Man Singh (SMS) Hospital. The bodies of the children were transferred to the hospital's mortuary for post-mortem examinations.

The sheer scale of the accident caused a massive traffic jam along the heavily commuted Ajmer Road as wreckage and emergency vehicles blocked major lanes. Traffic police worked for hours to clear the debris and restore the flow of vehicles.

Local police authorities have cordoned off the site and launched a comprehensive investigation to determine the exact cause of the crash, examining whether mechanical failure or driver negligence led to the loss of control.
