Javits Frimpong, a 15-year-old from Ghana, was fatally shot while walking to school near Crotona Park in the Bronx. Police said officers found him with a stomach wound around 9:30 a.m.; he died at a hospital. Investigators are seeking three boys who fled, and no arrests have been reported. Frimpong’s father said he believed bullying may have played a role after two students were suspended. Police have not confirmed a connection. Frimpong moved to New York from Ghana a year ago.
