Iran and Tajikistan have expanded visa-free travel for citizens holding ordinary passports, allowing them to fly between the two countries without obtaining a visa in advance. The arrangement, which took effect on February 3, 2025, permits stays of up to 30 days within a 90-day period. It builds on an earlier agreement that initially covered flights between Dushanbe and Tehran. The policy is intended to simplify travel and support tourism and business ties between the neighboring Persian-speaking countries. Longer stays still require appropriate visas.
