Sweden and Finland Sign Rocket-Artillery Cooperation Agreement as Stockholm Plans HIMARS Purchase

Sweden and Finland have signed a letter of intent to deepen cooperation on rocket artillery, as Sweden prepares to purchase the American HIMARS system for approximately seven billion kronor. The purchase would strengthen Sweden’s long-range firepower and support broader efforts to build compatible capabilities across Northern Europe amid heightened security concerns and a changing strategic environment for both.
