Serious Crash Involving Car, Van, and Bike on Serangoon North Ave 1; 2 Injured

SINGAPORE — A late-night collision involving a car, a minivan, and a motorcycle along Serangoon North Avenue 1 left two people injured and hospitalized in the early hours of Friday, June 5, 2026.

The Singapore Police Force (SPF) and the Singapore Civil Defense Force (SCDF) confirmed they were alerted to the multi-vehicle accident at approximately 12:05 AM. The crash occurred specifically at a pedestrian crossing along the busy neighborhood road.

Footage of the accident’s immediate aftermath quickly circulated online after being shared by Instagram user Zatiman. The video captured a tense scene with multiple passersby and onlookers surrounding the vehicles.

In the clip, a woman can be seen sitting directly on the asphalt in front of a badly damaged white saloon car and a fallen motorcycle. Situated right behind the car was a white minivan, which is also believed to have been heavily involved in the chain-collision. Onlookers could be seen inspecting the wreckage, directing traffic, and frantically making phone calls to emergency services.

SCDF paramedics arrived on the scene shortly after midnight to assess the casualties. The two individuals injured in the collision were identified as a 39-year-old male motorcyclist and his 38-year-old female pillion rider. According to authorities, both victims were conscious when they were loaded into ambulances and conveyed to Sengkang General Hospital for medical treatment.

The drivers of the white saloon car and the minivan did not require immediate hospitalization. While the exact cause of the pile-up remains unclear, police have initiated a formal inquiry into the sequence of events leading up to the crash.

Authorities have confirmed that a 26-year-old male van driver is currently assisting the Singapore Police Force with ongoing investigations.

Road safety advocates remind motorists to exercise extreme caution when approaching pedestrian crossings, particularly during late-night hours when visibility is reduced. Further updates from the police are expected as investigations continue.
