Serbia’s Republic Electoral Commission approved polling locations abroad for the October 25 parliamentary election, drawing criticism from the Student List, the main opposition force. The group said the limited number and placement of polling stations would make it difficult for tens of thousands of Serbians abroad to cast ballots. Voters must register in advance and vote in person, mainly at Serbian diplomatic or consular offices; postal voting is not available. The commission said its decision followed recommendations from the Foreign Ministry. More than 100,000 citizens abroad registered to vote.
