JAKARTA, Indonesia — Operations along a section of the Jakarta Light Rail Transit (LRT) system ground to a halt on Tuesday evening, September 1, 2026 after an intruder broke into a high-voltage electrical substation beneath a transit station. However, as the suspect attempted to sever live high-voltage lines, a sudden surge arc-flashed through the substation.
