A Russian frigate, Neustrashimy, conducted a rare live-fire exercise about 45 miles south of Plymouth on Monday. The ship gave short notice and requested the British warship HMS Tyne reposition to ensure safety. After HMS Tyne moved a few miles away, Neustrashimy carried out a 30-minute firing drill at about 9.30am in international waters. British officials said such close-range test-firing is unusual, especially in one of the world’s busiest shipping areas, while the Royal Navy continued tracking and monitoring the exercise
