Russian Retailers Warn of Smaller Black Friday Sales After E-Commerce Warehouse Drone Attacks

Russian shoppers may find fewer Black Friday discounts this year after drone attacks damaged warehouses operated by e-commerce platforms Ozon and Wildberries. Sellers told Forbes Russia that lost inventory, delayed deliveries and limited funds could prevent them from restocking or offering deep price cuts. One seed seller said he lost goods worth more than 400 million rubles and was still awaiting compensation. Logistics data also point to slower shipping: July and August document volumes fell 12% year over year. Wildberries says its November and December sales will proceed.
