Vladimir Tkachuk, general director of the drone manufacturing firm “Uraldronzavod,” was seriously injured after a Mercedes car explosion near Yekaterinburg. Local reports say the driver/bodyguard died at the scene, while Tkachuk was taken to intensive care. The enterprise develops and produces FPV drones used by the Russian military, including “Upyr” drones. Investigators have opened a criminal case into the blast. The attack is described as the second recent incident targeting UAV-sector executives, after an earlier shooting in Tula.
