Russia launched its largest mass attack on Ukraine’s energy facilities this year, striking substations, transmission systems and power plants across ten regions on November 3. The assault involved ballistic and cruise missiles, as well as jet-powered and propeller-powered drones, according to Ukraine’s grid operator. DTEK reported significant damage at three thermal power plants, which halted electricity generation. Emergency outages affected Kyiv and several regions, while officials said attacks on energy infrastructure had occurred more than 20 times in the preceding 24 hours.
