Russia Accused of Using US-Built AI for Killer Drones, Cyberattacks and Disinformation

An investigation by Anthropic found that a Kremlin-linked group used Claude to develop software for autonomous lethal drones, hacking operations, and influence campaigns. The system reportedly helped drones identify targets and issue detonation commands without a human in the loop, although the model had not been deployed in combat.
