Russell Brand was “ruthless, calculated and manipulative” sexual predator, court told

Prosecutor Riel Karmy-Jones told jurors at Southwark Crown Court that Russell Brand was “ruthless, calculating and manipulative” in alleged attacks on six women over a decade. The charges include three counts of rape, three of sexual assault and one of indecent assault, involving alleged incidents from 1999 to 2009. The prosecution says the women did not know one another and that the alleged assaults happened in several settings, including workplaces and a hotel. Brand denies all seven charges.
