The Royal Navy shadowed a Russian frigate during a rare live-fire artillery exercise off southwest England, conducted in international waters about 40 nautical miles south of Plymouth. UK officials said the Russian vessel, identified as the Neustrashimy, told the Royal Navy’s HMS Tyne of its intention to fire and asked it to reposition for safety. The exercise reportedly lasted around 30 minutes, and the Royal Navy said it would continue tracking the ship’s activity closely while maintaining readiness to protect UK security.
