Report: US prepares for 3-day attack on Iran, Trump has already rejected 5 strike plans

The Pentagon is preparing for a possible three-day operation against Iran, The New York Times reported, citing U.S. officials. Potential targets reportedly include missile and drone systems, energy infrastructure and Islamic Revolutionary Guard Corps headquarters. Officials said President Donald Trump had rejected five earlier strike plans involving Iran or Yemen’s Houthis and ruled out action before the November 3 midterm elections. Preparation does not mean an attack has been approved. Trump said the United States was holding productive talks with Iran and would not strike before the election.
