Putin Critic Boris Nadezhdin Flees Russia for France

Boris Nadezhdin, a Putin critic and prominent opposition politician, has fled Russia for France, according to his own announcement. He posted a video to Telegram showing him in Paris and said, “I’m alive and free,” adding that he still needed time to work out his next steps. The move comes after intensified state pressure, including restrictions that blocked his political participation in recent elections. Nadezhdin had previously faced legal actions and a “foreign agent” designation, which limited his ability to campaign.
