Polish police recorded 180 reports of hate crimes against Ukrainians in the first half of 2026, about 30% more than during the same period last year. The figure is already higher than the 2024 pace and could reach roughly 360 cases by year-end if the trend continues. Officials and experts warn that many incidents go unreported. Recent cases involving verbal abuse, threats and physical attacks have intensified concerns over anti-Ukrainian rhetoric, online misinformation and deteriorating relations between Warsaw and Kyiv.
