Poland has ruled out hosting allied nuclear warheads on its territory, while reaffirming its commitment to NATO’s nuclear deterrence strategy. Deputy Defense Minister Pawel Zalewski said Warsaw wants to participate in the alliance’s deterrence framework without stationing nuclear weapons domestically. The position comes as Poland seeks stronger security cooperation with the United States and France amid concerns about Russia. Warsaw has also left open discussions about expanding conventional defense capabilities and, potentially, considering an independent nuclear program in the future.
