Pennsylvania’s measles outbreak has reached 903 cases across 39 counties, with 176 hospitalizations and four associated deaths, according to state health officials. Eleven counties show community transmission, while Lancaster and Mifflin counties report the highest totals. Most infections are among unvaccinated people, and fewer than 1% involve fully vaccinated individuals. Officials have administered more than 8,300 MMR doses this year and are urging early vaccination, especially as national cases exceed 3,600 across 45 states and Washington, D.C., in total nationwide.
