Paris Court Jails Indian Man for Leading Online Abuse Network That Tortured Girls

A Paris court sentenced Rohan Rane, a 29-year-old Indian national, to 20 years in prison for leading an online criminal group that exploited girls, many of them minors. Prosecutors said the group used Discord to target vulnerable victims, threaten them, and coerce them into sexual acts and self-harm. The network, known as CVLT, espoused neo-Nazi and misogynistic views, according to the case. The trial was held largely behind closed doors. US authorities have indicated they will seek Rane’s extradition after he serves his French sentence
