Pakistan Deploys Large Number of Chinese SH-15 Howitzers Along India Border

Pakistan has deployed 250 Chinese-made SH-15 155mm truck-mounted self-propelled howitzers along its border with India, intelligence-based reports say. The systems are being positioned systematically across key sectors from north to south, strengthening Pakistan’s conventional artillery capability. The SH-15 can fire NATO-compatible 155mm ammunition to roughly 30–40 km, with rocket-assisted projectiles reportedly extending reach further. Analysts say the move reflects continued modernization and the deepening China-Pakistan defense partnership as bilateral tensions persist.
