Pennsylvania Attorney General Dave Sunday has charged Alyssa McDowell, a 34-year-old pharmacy technician and former Sheffield Township supervisor, with allegedly diverting nearly 90,000 opioid pills. Investigators say she took 80,926 oxycodone pills and 8,744 hydrocodone pills from Sheffield Pharmacy between January 2022 and May 2026. She allegedly ordered extra bottles and altered records to conceal the thefts. McDowell surrendered to authorities and faces felony and misdemeanor charges.
